God's Amazing Plan

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11, NKJV)

The excitement in the room was palpable. You could've heard a pin drop as we all awaited the news. And then it happened! The winner is...Nan Jones! My friend Nan had just won a publishing contract! Her dream had come true. I'm sure she didn't know this was God's plan for her life. But you know what? He knew it would be her time to be published on Febuary 2nd, 2013 even before her birth. Ladies, let me tell you God has some awesome plans for you. What are the plans you've been waiting to come to fruition in your life?

Father, thank You for always knowing the plans for our lives. Lord I praise You for even when we can't see it, you're the master planner. You know our future. Lord we love You and we praise You. In Jesus Name, amen.

  3. Hearing about Nan brought joy and hope to my heart. It reminded me that God is faithful and will bring the fulfillment of the promises He made to me.
I also dream of having my book published. The book is still unwritten because I wasted too many years in self-condemnation, guilt and shame, believing the devil's lies instead of holding on to sweet hope in Jesus.
If it wasn't for people like you and Nan, and many others who prayed for me during the very dark moments I've been through (like one of the churches in Revelation, I had a same of one who is living but I was dead) I might still be depressed and paralyzed in my development and ministry.
Now I look forward to 2013 because I know it will bring good things. I don't know which exactly, but I know God will be faithful and reward all the little baby steps I've taken and provide more of His grace for the long journey I have ahead of me before I can get this writing task done.

    1. Carina, The Father holds you in the palm of His hand. Rest in that knowledge, sweet sister. Rest in that knowledge. I am so thankful the Lord has lifted you up out of the miry clay and placed you high upon the Rock where you can see a future of hope. Hold His hand and walk with Him one step at a time. Love you!

  8. With the camera in my hand, and prayers in my heart, I was anticipating the answer. But I certainly didn't expect the reaction she gave us. I loved being there to capture the sweet moment when Nan 's name was called out, being the recipient of that contract. Nan was truly blessed and surprised. I love her humble heart. I am amazed at the plans God has each of us. Thank You, Jamie, for sharing. I know you were just about as excited as she was. I love watching the friendship God has blessed you two with. It sure makes my heart smile.
