and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Phillipians 4:7, NKJV)
Before I walked into the conference center, my nerves were on edge. This was my first time at the Blue Ridge Mountain Christian Writers conference and I knew hardly anyone. Walking through the door however, I felt this tremendous sense of peace. It was as if my nervousness went away. I knew that could only be God's peace. I didn't understand it fully until the lady that helped get me there put her loving arms around me. Ladies, that peace is the greatest thing you could ever feel. What in your life today do you need to be covered in God's peace? Let me encourage you, pray and ask for it.
Father, thank You for the peace You bring. In the midst of what we may feel is unbearable, you bring a sweet calm. I ask that for each reader, You bring that calm to her spirit. In Jesus name, amen.
It was great meeting you at BRMCWC, Jamie. Looking forward to following your blog and hopefully being together again.
ReplyDeleteYes, I know what you mean, Jamie. Just walking onto the Ridgecrest campus brings a sense of peace. But regardless of where we are, His peace is always available. Love and blessings, sweet friend!
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for your guest post on The Christian Writer's Den this week. As you can see, you touched a tender spot in a lot of lives. :-)
Jamie, isn't His peace wonderful? And isn't it wonderful how so many brothers and sisters pray for us when we step out in faith to follow this crazy call to write and speak for His glory? You're so precious. Love you!
ReplyDeleteIt was so great seeing you again at BRMCWC! It was such a joy to be surrounded by so many encouraging folks. I'm glad His peace washed over us that week.
ReplyDeleteLove you!
