Divine Connections

“And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. (Luke 15:20, NKJV)

Walking into church for choir practice, I noticed a dear friend I'd not seen in close to 3 years across the crowded room. We hugged and caught as best we could with the little time we had that morning. After practice was over, I noticed something. For three years, I had her contact information in my addressbook. That day, she and I reconnected after a long time apart. That's the way we are with the Lord at times. We don't think He hears our prayers. And if He hears them, we don't think He answers them . . . because they're not answered in the way we want. Just like Martha and I reconnected, we eventually reconnect with God. Today my friend, let me encourage you to reconnect with the One who loves you more than any human ever can.

Father, help us reconnect with You. Help us to know that when our prayers aren't answer in acordance to our ways, You know what's best. In Jesus Name, amen.
